New Beginnings
I am thrilled for this new year! The reason for my excitement is that 2025 marks the realization of a dream—the launch of Wellness and Wonder! This organization has been on Sara's and my heart for quite some time, and we are incredibly proud to finally share this opportunity with our community.
Being well as a human these days takes effort. Often, we think of wellness as eating healthy, exercising, and keeping up with our physical health. While those aspects are important to us at Wellness and Wonder, we place equal emphasis on mental health and overall well-being.
For many of us, the world changed dramatically in 2020 with COVID-19 and its lasting repercussions. The patterns we established during and after that time may still linger in our daily lives, even if they no longer support our wellness. The outgoing surgeon general, Dr. Vivek Murthy, has raised awareness about the dangers of loneliness and unhappiness, emphasizing the importance of community. A lack of social connections has been linked to increased risks of heart disease, dementia, depression, anxiety, and premature death.
We know that feeling a sense of belonging and building community is vital, but creating that community takes work. For most of us, a little help in this area is a welcome relief. Wellness and Wonder is dedicated to connecting women and youth to build meaningful relationships in fun and supportive ways.
We all have unique interests, and that’s what makes us special! Wellness and Wonder brings small groups together over shared interests, fostering the authentic growth of relationships through facilitated dialogue, engaging activities, movement practices, food experiences, service opportunities, and more. Participants leave feeling grounded and more connected to their community, as their interactions with local resources and the people around them increase.
Wellness and Wonder is where friendships are built and nurtured. Sign up for our e-newsletter to stay informed of all of our upcoming opportunities by clicking here.
