ELC’s Family Fun Fair Recap

We enjoyed sharing opportunities that Wellness and Wonder offers the community at the Family Fun Fair presented by the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County this past Saturday, April 12. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Havert L. Fenn Center in Ft. Pierce. An incredible 297 adults and 351 children attended.

Families who came had the opportunity to talk with resource providers, play games, dance in a conga line, and much more. The Wellness and Wonder table was very active! Kids had their choice of creating a dot art masterpiece or coloring a page with colored pencils. Dot art was the most popular choice, and for good reason! It’s fun but it is also a great way to support child development. Activities like dot art can improve hand-eye coordination, develop fine motor skills, and inspire creativity.

While the kids were creating their dot art, parents who stopped by the Wellness and Wonder table learned a little about our mission and outreach and were invited to our next free family-friendly Art in the Park event at Girl Scout Friendship Park on April 22 at 10:00am. Registration is available at  https://www.wellnessandwonder.org/events/art-in-the-park

The Early Learning Coalition has an incredible number of services and resources to support families and child health. Information is available on their website at: https://www.elcslc.org/ The next Family Fun Fair is scheduled for April 11, 2026.
